Abstract

Humans, like other animal species at times, engage in sexual relationships, driven naturally and sensibly by the pursuit of pleasure. It is here that homosexual behavior is guided and conditioned. Twin studies and segregation analyses have revealed that homosexuality is influenced by a complex interplay of biological, genetic, neurological, and environmental factors, and behavioral science-based genetic testing has provided substantial evidence for the heritability of sexual orientation, estimating the genetic influence at approximately 32%. A study of 20 interviews conducted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, found that homosexuality has a significant cultural component. According to renowned researchers in National Culture, such as Hofstede and House, all the characteristics of this construct – proximity of the staff to the professional, collectivism, achievement motivation, disposition to uncertainty, short-term orientation and indulgence – are quite prevalent in Brazil andd this article has the following research questions: To what extent do the characteristics of Brazilian national culture impact the decision to be homosexual? To what extent does the preconceito contra os homosexuais increase the likelihood of acquiring diseases? For example, on the Power Distance Index (PDI), with a score of 69, Brazil reflects a society that believes that hierarchy must be respected and that inequalities between people are acceptable. As a main contribution to the literature, this work presents a Collaborative Governance model to better understand the origins of homosexuality (genetics, trauma, family, social inequality, negative experiences in heterosexual relationships, economic power, gender nonconformity) and reduce discrimination.

I had an excellent experience with Scholastic Open Access Journals for the submission and publication of 3 of my articles. Their professionalism and efficiency truly stood out.

The entire process was swift and seamless. After submitting my manuscript, I received detailed feedback from the editorial team within just two weeks. The publication itself was completed in under a month, which exceeded my expectations compared to other journals.

The publication fees were very reasonable, especially for an open-access journal. Scholastic Open Access Journals was upfront about the costs, and there were no hidden charges along the way. For the level of service and exposure, the pricing is more than fair.

The support team was incredibly responsive and helpful. They guided me through the submission process and were always quick to answer my questions. Their communication was clear, timely, and professional throughout.

I was impressed by the high-quality editorial services. The peer review feedback was insightful and constructive, helping me improve my manuscript. The final published article was well-formatted and looked very professional.

Overall, I highly recommend Scholastic Open Access Journals for anyone looking for a quick, affordable, and high-quality open-access publishing experience!
